Echuca-Moama’s O’Brien Plumbing competed against national companies and received not one, but two awards for providing high quality service and excellent customer support.
O’Brien Plumbing was named Customer Service Excellence winner, while team member Clayton Zanella was named Office Worker of the Year at the awards ceremony in June.
Surveys were sent to customers, who were asked to rate the team’s service to stand for the Customer Service Excellence Award, while O’Brien Plumbing also offered Mr Zanella an individual nomination .
Mr Zanella was unaware his workplace had nominated him until it was announced at the awards night in Port Douglas.
He said O’Brien Plumbing won the top award for excellence in customer service. So he was surprised when his name was also mentioned.
“Some companies were huge, very well known and had hundreds of employees, so to be chosen from them was pretty amazing,” he said.
“These companies were asking us what our secret was and how we had managed to win two awards as a small regional company.”
Owner and manager Mel Slattery said the award meant the team was recognized for all their hard work.
“It gives recognition to our team. It recognizes the importance we place on all of our customers,” Ms. Slattery said.
“Our team is customer oriented, friendly, highly skilled and communicates in a professional and respectful manner, and the whole team gets along with each other and it’s great to see them being recognized for that.”
Owner and manager Geoff Slattery said he was grateful to the community for all the glowing comments.
“Thank you to all of the customers who responded to our surveys, supported us and provided us with positive feedback,” he said.
